A Historical Onsen (Hot Spring) Rich in Taste.
Iwaki Yumoto Onsen has long been famous as one of the three major Japanese hot springs together with Dogo Onsen (Ehime) and Arima Onsen (Kobe).
In medieval times it was often visited by warring lords.
In the Edo Period it became lively as the only onsen resort town on the Hama-kaido (Beach Road), and in the Meiji Period and later it prospered as one of the few onsen resorts in Fukushima Prefecture, and was visited by a constant stream of Japanese writers such as Ujo Noguchi and Bocho Yamanura.
The onsen (hot spring) is a sulfur spring, and with a temperature of 60 degrees centigrade at the source, it is very beneficial for the treatment of female disorders, nerve pain and dermatosis.

Men's Big Bath

Located on the top floor of the building, guests can bathe while looking at the rooftop bonsai garden. It is particularly worth viewing when the satsuki (azalea) is in full bloom at the start of spring.

Ladies' Bath

*At Hotel Uosho, the hot spring runs 24 hours a day.
The water is not re-circulated, so it is possible to bathe in water containing the original components at any time of day or night.

*The hot spring has a high sulfur content, which will leave black stains on silver jewelry.
Please remove any such jewelry before entering the baths.

*The hot springs may be beneficial to some people with eczema, so please try it.
There are also some people with whom the water does not agree, so please douse yourself with the clean hot water used outside the bathtub to be sure.

*The water temperature is very warm, so customers who have been drinking are advised not to stay in the baths for long periods of time.
*A family bath is also provided.

Sahako-no-yu Onsen Rest Center
